Chen Deming Made a Study Tour on Circulation of Agro-produce at Beijing Xinfadi Wholesale Market
On the afternoon of January 17, Minister of Commerce Chen Deming, Assistant Minister Qiu Hong, Deputy Mayor of Beijing Cheng Hong and other officials visited Beijing Xinfadi wholesale market, and made research on lowering circulation cost for agricultural products and guaranteeing market supply.
They inspected the selling zone for vegetable from the South, Beijing reserve warehouse of vegetables and Xinfadi electronic trading center in Xinfadi wholesale mar They held fdiscussions with the wholesale markets, leading enterprises, planting bases, distribution enterprises, and transportation and marketing households on production and circulation of agricultural produce, and listened to suggestions and advice on lowering circulation cost and guaranteeing market supply.
Mr. Chen pointed out that the State Council has promulgated a series of supporting policies on reducing taxes on agricultural product circulation, lowering circulation expense, increasing financial supporting, implementing planning and land measures. MOFCOM is pressing on the above work with related departments. Currently, we will implement a batch of policy measures with good and fast effect as soon as possible. For instance, we will exempt value added tax in circulation link on some fresh and perishable meat and egg products just as on vegetables, promoting same pricing on water and electricity in industrial and commercial field, regulate law enforcement and charges on highway, so as to practically lower circulation expense for agricultural products. Meanwhile, we will actively promote nonprofit infrastructure construction for agricultural products, implement supporting measures on planning and land use, and speed up to form a long-term mechanism on agricultural product circulation. In response to problems that restrict agricultural product circulation reported by enterprises, Mr. Chen said MOFCOM will, together with related departments, make serious study on problems that restrict agro-produce circulation reported by enterprises and try best to solve the problems.
